Archive 2016 - Tendency Determination Poll Method and Process

The following are the voting rates to be applied during the tendency determination process:

• Full time professorial staff (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor): 60 %, Senior instructors and instructors: 30 %, Administrative staff and workers: 10 %
  
• The tendency determination poll will be held under the monitoring of RCDC at EMU Özay Oral Library Exhibition Hall between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on 9 June 2016. The hall will be under the surveillance of security cameras.
  
• Following the completion of the voting process, votes will be counted by the RCDC as of 4:15 p.m.. After the completion of the counting of votes, results will be formally communicated to the Senate Secretariat on the same day.

In the event of the availability of no candidates fulfilling the condition of holding 50%+ of the votes during the first round of the tendency determination process, a second round of tendency determination is held between the two candidates who have obtained the highest number of votes. If deemed necessary, the second round of the tendency determination process will be held on 10 June 2016 and at the end of the same day, the RCDC will be formally communicating the results of the said round to the Senate Secretariat. The Senate will then convene on 13 June 2016 and present the Board of Trustees their recommendation for the rector candidate.
